What You’ll Learn
From Seed to Cup
Our approach is rooted in connection—to the land, the process, and the craft. Led by Kingha co-founder and roaster Kingsley Griffin, this two-day course will walk you through the entire roasting journey:
Day 1 – Seed to Success
Explore how growing methods shape roast profiles, followed by a guided cupping of light, medium, and dark roasts. You’ll begin hands-on sample roasting with two distinct coffees while learning how beans change at each stage.
Day 2 – From Sample to Production
Dive into equipment, safety, and roast theory, then move into partner-based roasting on both sample and production machines. You’ll identify first crack, log roast data, and craft custom profiles with confidence.
Why Learn Coffee Roasting with Us—And Not Anywhere Else?
Real Roots, Real Roasting
Most roasting classes talk about coffee origins. We are the origin. Every coffee we roast in White Rock, BC comes directly from our farm in Uganda—planted, harvested, and shipped by our team. You’re learning from the source.
Small Group, Serious Learning
With a max of six participants, this is a high-impact, mentorship-style experience. You’ll have dedicated attention, time on the machines, and real conversations about craft, business, and technique.
Your Starter Kit Includes:
10 lbs of raw (green) Kingha coffee
Roasting and sensory notebook
Coffee tasting spoon
Roasted coffee sampler bundle
Standardized tasting water kit
